Petticoat Maxi Skirt in Black

This is the base pattern; modifications were:

  • Middle tier is 10 inches
  • Bottom tier is 6 inches
  • Lining is 2 tiers for extra fullness
  • Waistband is flat in front with elastic only in the back and a back center zipper
  • Added pockets!

This projects “oops!” moment: discovering that I’d accidentally used a navy zipper after I had already finished inserting it. Oh well! No one is likely to notice. ūüėČ

I’m not sure I’m totally in love with this cotton voile–it’s a little clingier than I expected. But it’s soft and for all I know voile is clingy.

Close-up ruffler action!
